Our Story
In 2012, a young female traveled to Taiwan and discovered something extraordinary — the pure, rich taste of authentic Taiwanese milk tea. It was more than a drink; it was a craft, a culture, and a quiet kind of happiness in every cup. At that time, bubble tea in mainland China was still in its early days, lacking the depth and soul they had experienced in Taiwan.
Deeply moved, she returned mainland with a dream: to bring this authenticity to the mainland. Guided by a love for good food and an insistence on quality ingredients, they began their journey. Not long after, she met a passionate product developer — a kindred spirit with deep experience in tea research and a shared devotion to Taiwan-style milk tea.
They joined forces, each bringing their heart and expertise, and opened the very first Heihongtang store on Liuxiang Road in Taiyuan — a humble beginning, but one filled with dedication and hope. Though that store may look old and worn today, it was the start of a dream.
Every cup of Heihongtang tells the story of where we began — and how far a dream can go when it’s brewed with heart.

Over the past 13 years, Heihongtang has grown with the times — undergoing multiple upgrades in visual identity and brand experience, while continuously refining our tea formulas and product lineup to stay true to our standards and to our customers’ evolving tastes.
In our latest VI store design, tradition meets modernity in a quiet dialogue of light and form. Inspired by the red lanterns of Jincheng, Shanxi - symbols of warmth, celebration, and home - the space unfolds as a gentle fusion of elegance and comfort.
This design philosophy finds its perfect echo in our patented portable lantern-shaped drink cup, a creation born from our own hands and heart. More than a vessel, it is a story you can hold , carrying with it the glow of heritage and the charm of contemporary imagination.
